My mom, who lives in Oklahoma, is visiting here for the first time. Mostly, she's just taking this opportunity to relax and not do much. Yesterday was our first real "touristy" day. On the advise of a friend, I took her to Old Town Scottsdale. As we walked through its western and southwestern themed store I realized, aside from the cacti, they were a lot like the souvenir shops you find in Oklahoma. So, needless to say, Mom wasn't overwhelmed with the urge to commemorate her trip with assorted tchotchkes.Of course, no trip would be complete without stumbling across a crime scene. There was a section of the area taped off and many news crews hanging around. We didn't know what happened until we watch the news later that evening.
