This or That: Christmas Shopping

1. Go out and buy gifts, or shop online/mail order? A mixture of
both.

2. Gift cards/certificates or pick out gifts? I try to buy gifts, but I
am horrible about it. I never know what to get or what someone will
like. (You'd think I'd know my loved ones better.) I personally prefer gift certificates and hope those
who receive them from me enjoy the gift of choice as well.

Sidebar: My friend Karen makes a Wish List every year. When I first
found out about it I teased her mercilessly ("Um, Karen...are you
12?"), however I must say, I always know what to get her, unlike
everyone else.

Another Sidebar: One year, The Roommate and I made cookies to give as
presents. That went well so we may do that again. The
devil
says homemade gifts are extra special.

3. Pay cash or charge holiday gifts? Again, a mixture of both. This
year is not quite as lean as years past so hopefully my cards will get a break.

4. Are most of your gifts mailed or given in person? I only buy
gifts for a few of my friends so the only ones I have to mail are to Mommie Dearest and
Grandma.

5. Are you an early-bird or last-minute holiday shopper?
Somewhere in
between.

6. If you shop in stores...big chain stores or smaller specialty stores? A
mixture of both. It depends what I am shopping for.

7. Wrap gifts yourself or have them wrapped at the store or mall? Myself.

8. Shopping on *Black Friday* (day after Thanksgiving)...did you or didn't
you?
I did, but not Christmas shopping. (Who the hell knew it was called
Black Friday? What's that about?)

9. Is your holiday gift list large or small? Very, very small. (And
getting smaller if you piss me off...so don't!)

10. Is it better to give or to receive? Um...that sounds dirty.
