Cookies Are the Best Medicine
I woke up yesterday morning unable to move. When I get body aches, I get body aches. Bleah. I seem to be coming down with a summer cold. Double bleah. I left work a tad early and took a sweaty nap when I got home. Triple bleah.
I feel a lot better this morning, but am still taking it easy. Heavy doses of cookies and season two of How I Met Your Mother on DVD have been administered. And if those don't work, I have prescription of Doritos I can try.
The suckiest part is that I've missed the gym for two days now. I know right? Your jaw is like, totally on the floor that I'm actually GOING to the gym. And going to the gym on a REGULAR basis.
Trust me. I'm just as freaked out by it as you are. I'm going so much that it's to the point that the staff now knows me (and not just because of what happened when I first joined) and says things like, "See you tomorrow."
See. You. Tomorrow.
Srsly.
Now MY jaw is on the floor.
Hopefully, I'll feel a-okay to go tomorrow. I have some cookies to burn off.
In other news: Mike got his package.

Aw, we're BOTH home with pain today :( I'm actually upright at the computer, which is good and which means I can get some work done!
And WOO FLIPPIN HOO on the gym. You know you're reaping the benefits when you MISS it. I miss the running but it's just guilt, which means I'm not officially THERE yet.

You know, I have not personally experienced the benefits of the cookie medication. I shall have to experiment with this.
Yeah, I need to drag my increasingly large butt to the gym, too. Someone took a picture of me today and my mental image of myself is a bit, um, off. Sigh.

I have no idea what exactly is going on, but it seems that the closer I get to 40, the more my back decides to spasm.
Imagine me heading to a gym, back brace in one hand, icy hot in the other, all the while making extremely unpleasant looks at anyone daring to wear sweatsuits with the word 'juicy' embellished on his or her ass.
I wouldn't make it in the front door without being attacked for rude and obnoxious behavior.
