Warning: Gratuitous Hospital Gown Photo
I was back at the doctor's today for more x-rays.

Sexy, right? I'll give you a moment to regain your composure.
This weekend, I was in so much pain I actually bawled for about 30 minutes. It was just plain awful. The on-call doctor phoned in a prescription of pain killers. In gratitude, I'm naming all my babies after him. Every. Single. One.
The pain killers didn't get rid of all the pain, just made it more tolerable. The Greg® drove me to the doctor today. (Have I mentioned how painful it is to drive? Oy.) I have a torn muscle and the inflammation is pressing on my sciatic nerve which shoots pain all down my right leg to the tip of my toes. It's like no pain I've ever felt before. Several times this weekend I wanted to recreate the last scene of Saw just to make it stop hurting.

Right now, I have more drugs in me than a Walgreens, but this combination is finally helping. As I write this I am actually sitting upright in a chair, something I haven't been able to do for more than 2 minutes without wincing since last Wednesday.
At least, until now. OUCH. Back to bed for me.

Oh Brian, that sounds terrible. I sure hope this can all be sorted out for you quick-smart. I'll keep my fingers crossed that you have some good news for us soon and that you'll be back up dancing on podiums in no time!
By the way... Don't those hospital gowns usually look better when photographed from the back? I'm just sayin' is all!

Brian, believe me, I know exactly what you're going through. I really hope these pills are working for you and you're going to feel much better soon.
Now, about that gown...is it wrong to say that you're actually look kinda cute in it? :)

A torn muscle? OUCH! That's just horrible.
I got an appointment today, but I got stuck in traffic so the doctor's office had to reschedule. They can't see me now until 1 July!
I decided to go back to the student health centre and the doctor there said basically the same thing to me as the last time. "These things take time." Whatever.
Anyhow it looks like we are both on the same steroid pack. I also have some generic Darvocet. The muscle relaxors they originally gave me done nothing except make me spacey.
I was told if things don't get better come the end of next week they will order an MRI. My X-Rays should nothing.
I hope your recovery is a fast and speedy one. Take care.

I once had a torn muscle in my neck, so I know your pain. I also intend on naming my children after the doctor who gave me big pills.

Sorry to find this out so late. I've been falling behind on my blog reading duties.
I hope you're feeling better. If it helps any, you look like an angel in white in that garb!
Hugs ;-P
