Tap, Tap, Tap. Is This Thing Still On?

Just peaking in for a quick update. I'm still not sure what I want to do with this space. Facebook has somewhat taken over the "keeping in touch with my friends" aspect that this blog used to fulfill. All the backend stuff I need to do seems saw daunting when I start to think about it and I have some other projects I need to focus on first.

But, hey... at least I got my template back online. That's something, right?

So here's what's been going on since we last spoke.

First, an update on Heather. Heather is doing great. She's gone through two rounds of chemotherapy and is now in the middle of her radiation treatment. Her hair is growing back after it fell out during the first round of chemo. She's been sporting a cute little faux hawk lately. Oh, did I mention she completed a triathlon a few months ago. Heather is, in short, completely awesome and inspiring. Any time I start to complain about something I remember that my friend Heather, who is battling cancer, was in A MOTHER FUCKING TRIATHLON!

By the way, here are photos from last year's Komen Walk for the Cure.

Game Night Guys is going really well. We have a lot of fun doing it. Doing this podcast has been a very interesting experience for me. In many ways, I struggle a lot with my inner perfectionist/control freak and have had to learn to let a lot of things go in the interest of the show. Not always easy. But I think after some initial struggles, Mike & I have reached a comfortable place with each other and doing this podcast.

I'm still doing some traveling here and there. I've been to Chicago a couple times to see my beloved Gayle, saw the amazing Jonatha Brooke in Colorado for my birthday, visited Daniel for a fun-filled weekend in San Diego, and last month, I visited my mom in Oklahoma.

Oh, I'm moving in a couple weeks. I found a bigger apartment back in my 'hood in South Scottsdale. I am so excited to have a full-sized (and brand-new) kitchen again. Prepare yourself for lots of photos of my cooking adventures.

Just like everyone else.
